KMDC Dance Program
The KMDC Dance Program is designed for children of all ages who have the desire to learn the disciplines and enjoyment of dance.
Classes scheduled by trimesters
Trimester 1: Sept. 7 - Nov. 27
Trimester 2: Nov. 29 - March 52
Trimester 3: March 7 - June 4

Tuition and Registration Fee must be paid at time of registration. Class placement is not guaranteed. If there is a problem, we will call you. Your child is expected to attend all classes and we do not refund tuition for any class the student decides not to attend. After September 20, 2010, students will not be allowed to drop or switch classes. We make a commitment to our teachers based on enrollment.
Tuition is now based on trimesters. Trimester 1 tuition is due upon registration. Trimester 2 tuition will be due no later than October 29th and will include a $75 costume fee per class your student is enrolled in. Trimester 3 tuition will be due no later than April 7th.
Please note that any outstanding balances must be paid in full before your child can be registered for the 2010/2011 season. We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard and Discover. We DO NOT accept American Express.
Ballerina Time
(ages 18 months - 2 years)
Let your child shine! Dance, play games, read stories, dress up and enjoy a yummy snack. Ballerina Time is the best opportunity to make new friends and learn how to have fun with the basic fundamentals of creative movement.
Dress Attire: Any color leotard, pink/black tights, pink ballet slippers, hair pulled back, skirts optional. *Tuition based on four 8 week Sessions, $80 each*
Pre-Ballet
(ages 2-4)
Enjoy and learn the basic fundamentals of Classical Ballet and creative movement in this fun filled class. Your child will learn basic coordination and body awareness as well socialization.
Dress Attire: Any color leotard, pink/black tights, pink ballet slippers, hair pulled back, skirts optional.
Ballet/Jazz (ages 4-8)
A combination of Ballet and Jazz. Your child will develop a better awareness of Classical Ballet as well as learn the basic fundamentals of Jazz. Fun music and an upbeat environment.
Dress Attire: Any color leotard, pink/black tights, pink ballet slippers, hair pulled back, skirts/shorts optional.
Ballet/Tap (ages 4-8)
A combination of Ballet and Tap. Your child will develop a better awareness of Classical Ballet as well as learn rhythmic patterns and the fundamentals of Tap. Understand counting music and make a lot of noise!
Dress Attire: Any color leotard, pink/black tights, pink ballet slippers, white tap shoes, hair pulled back, skirts/shorts optional.
Jazz/Tumbling (ages 5-10)
A combination of Jazz and Tumbling. Learn your forward and back rolls, handstands, cartwheels and flips! This class emphasizes strength, balance, flexibility and fun! Mats are provided for your child's safety.
Dress Attire: Any color leotard, pink/black/tan tights, bare feet/tan jazz shoes, hair pulled back, shorts optional.
Ballet (ages 7+)
Ballet is the basis and foundation of all dance styles. Learn perfect posture, coordination, balance, extension, discipline and prepare yourself for all other styles of dance.
Dress Attire: Black/pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, hair pulled back, skirts optional.
Jazz (ages 8+)Fun and energetic, dance to fast rhythms and learn choreography to popular, upbeat music. Focus on coordination, flexibility, strength and performance.
Dress Attire: Any color leotard, black/pink/tan tights, tan jazz shoes, hair pulled back, skirts/shorts optional.
Tap (ages 8+)
Make some noise! Learn the fundamentals of tap, rhythmic patterns as well as how to count and listen to music.
Dress Attire: Any color leotard, black/pink/tan tights, tan jazz shoes, hair pulled back, skirts/shorts optional.
Hip Hop (ages 8+)Pop, lock and hip hop your heart out! Learn how to isolate parts of your body, , tricks, strength and choreography to today's hottest, most popular music.
Dress Attire: Any color leotard, black/pink/tan tights, black hip hop sneakers, hair pulled back, shorts/dance capris optional.
Tumbling (ages 9+)
Learn your forward and back rolls, handstands, cartwheels and flips! This class emphasizes strength, balance, flexibility and fun!
Dress Attire: Any color leotard, pink/black/tan tights, bare feet, hair pulled back, shorts optional.
Modern (ages 12+)A completely different, unique way of expression. Learn the styles of dance's greatest choreographers, Graham, Horton, Laban and more.
Dress Attire: Any color leotard, pink/black/tan tights, bare feet/foot undies, hair pulled back, shorts optional.
Theatre/Voice (ages 8+)
Take the stage, learn your lines, play games and work together in teams. This class is great preparation if interested in any lead roles for the annual KMDC Spring Performance.
Conditioning (TEEN & ADULTS)
Stretch and tone your way into great shape! Work on abs, strength, stamina and flexibility. For the dancer and non-dancer alike!
